This 160-seat auditorium is the perfect home base for a day of meeting sessions. The theater’s full AV capabilities are perfect for a multimedia presentation and the setting ensures privacy for groups of various sizes. The theater is also the place where famous musicians who come to the Rock Hall are interviewed and where up-and-coming artists have played (Taylor Swift took the stage back in 2007), adding a rock-star pedigree to your next meeting.

For those looking to host a more intimate gathering, consider sitting among the signatures of legends who have written the soundtracks of our lives. The museum’s Hall of Fame area can accommodate up to 40 guests and is a great place to share a meal or host a reception. “That one is our most exclusive option, being that you’re having the event right next to all the inductee plaques [and] signatures,” Michael Detling, director of event sales and services for the Rock Hall, says of the space. A balcony situated directly off the Hall of Fame is also open for use during events (weather permitting) and offers spectacular views of Lake Erie.

A 35-foot-tall inflatable “teacher” hangs over a white brick wall designed to mimic the one that Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters used during his July 21, 1990, all-star charity performance of the band’s legendary album “The Wall” in Berlin, Germany. (Waters even scrawled a personal message it.) The installation was created for the Rock Hall’s opening in 1995 and offers both a unique environment to gather for a lunch, dinner or reception. “I think it has the best views in the building,” Detling says. “It overlooks Lake Erie out the back and then all the levels below.” Detling says the space is the most popular rental options for groups of fewer than 50 people.

They say go big or go home, right? So treat your event guests to an exclusive experience that opens the entire Rock Hall to just your group. Detling says this is a popular choice for opening and closing receptions, conferences and more. “The perk there is you get exclusive, private access to the museum after hours, access to all the exhibits [and] all the theaters,” Detling says. “You can take your beer with you while you’re exploring the exhibits and get private access without having to deal with other potential event guests or the public.” Groups as small as 50 to those as large as 2,000 have the option to rent out the entire museum. With over 100 museum buyouts in 2024, this is one of the Rock Hall’s most popular event options.

Amp Up Your Event
Give your guests a little more with these great additions to your next event at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Electrifying Eats
The Rock Hall has an in-house catering partner who is used for events big and small. It can serve up anything from small plates and cocktails to plated dinners. No matter the time of day or the type of fare, your guests won’t leave hungry.

Band Beats
The Garage on the museum’s second level offers the chance for attendees to try their hand at playing guitar, drums, bass and keyboard. This non-reservable space is open on a first-come-first-serve basis to museum visitors during regular hours, and museum staff members are on-hand to teach the basics or fill in on instruments.

Musical Memories
Get your guests moving between meeting sessions and give them a great story to tell with event add-ons provided by the museum. Try a scavenger hunt through the Rock Hall or book an educational program for guests to learn about rock history.

These ideas are just the start of hosting an event at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Those looking to book for the future can anticipate the completion of the 55,000-square-foot expansion coming to the Rock Hall. Scheduled to open in September 2026, this addition will be solely dedicated to hosting events and can be reserved during the day or evening.
